What “verified” means here
An administrator has reviewed the submitted identity, source, statistics, and reuse authorization. This is a documented review step, not a guarantee that the original source is error-free. Corrections remain welcome.
OUR METHODOLOGY
Trust is built
record by record.
A dependable scouting platform must distinguish what is verified, what is missing, and what is still disputed.
Follow the evidence.
Every stat category needs a source name, HTTPS link, and appropriate reuse authorization. Video evidence can be linked where permitted.
Missing ≠ zero.
Unknown statistics are stored as missing, not invented or automatically filled with zeros. Derived rates only appear when their inputs are available.
Verify before publishing.
Imports enter a private queue. Admin approval requires explicit checks of identity, numbers, and rights. Disputed records remain unpublished.
Errors are fixable.
Managers and players can submit documented corrections. A human reviewer resolves them before the public record changes.
No invented tools or projections.
Verified statistics do not automatically prove MLB-level tools, league eligibility, velocity, or track-data measurements. Those require separate sourced evidence.
